POSITION: Superintendent
JOB TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION: Amarillo, TX
The qualified Superintendent is responsible for supervising and directing field teams within assigned discipline or area; for the safety and regulatory compliance of all activities; for compliance with technical specifications; and for completion of assignments within schedules and budgets.
• Manage all aspects of projects for federal government and industrial clients including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of all phases of project work
• Lead the production of work plans and submittals
• Participate in planning for, and provide guidance on, project scope and selected project documents from assigned discipline perspective so that safety goals are attained or exceeded
• Supply all information, materials, tools, equipment, and PPE required by work teams to perform assigned tasks
• Prepare schedules (MS Project), field methods and procedures and conduct pre-job briefings
• Supervise and direct staff and subcontractors for field operations within assigned discipline
• Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of field progress, manpower forecasts, and expenditures
• Assess field team performance and report to management on areas needing improvement
• Conduct and report on post-job closure discussions
• Comply with corporate policies and procedures
• Comply with all applicable permits, regulations, standards, and safety codes, including authorization basis documents
Basic Job Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction, or related field with 5 years’ experience. 10 years of construction experience in lieu of degree will be considered
• Previous experience as a Superintendent
• Knowledgeable of demolition and Construction methods and cost estimating
Preferred Qualifications
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER
• DOE/DoD project experience
• Government clearance
